We are the right place for many students.
How do you decide if we might be the right place for you?

Our mission is to develop a passion for learning within our students both inside and outside the classroom. We believe in a holistic approach to education, where students are encouraged to be inquisitive, curious, and independent learners who challenge the world around them.

Covington Classical Academy has many unique elements that set us apart:

  • Academics: Covington Classical Academy is Northern Kentucky’s only independent, private high school. We are not religiously affiliated, as we believe spiritual development is best taught in the home or in other places. We offer bright, curious students an opportunity to pursue a rigorous education rooted in liberal arts and the classical tradition. Our Classical Liberal Arts curriculum returns to the basics. Students study four years of Math, Latin, English, History/Social Studies, and Science. They will also study Aesthetics and Oratory. This focus on the fundamentals helps students build critical thinking skills. It emphasizes reading and writing.
  • Early Entry: Covington Classical Academy allows curious students who have completed fifth, sixth or seventh grade an opportunity for early entry into high school. The traditional education system bases curriculum content on age rather than ability or interest. Because of this, many students in middle school feel bored and not challenged. Covington Classical Academy brings these like-minded students together to excite them about learning again and to be challenged at the pace they are ready for. You can read more here about early entry.
  • Faculty: The CCA faculty embraces the shared belief that students with a passion for discovery need to be in a learning environment that challenges and inspires them every day. All of our teachers hold master’s degrees and have more than 20 years of classroom experience. We are committed to fostering the students' love for learning as they develop the foundational skills needed to excel academically, professionally, and personally.
  • Experiential Learning - Our Fifth Day Program: We believe that a holistic education involves leaving the confines of the classroom and making the larger world our learning environment. On most Fridays, we have a special, all-day program we call Fifth Day. These activities fall into four categories: physical activity, STEM, arts & humanities, and service. Faculty members lead the activities, sharing their passion for learning with the students and modeling the traits of lifelong learning. You can read more here about our Fifth Day program.
