Junior Year Trip

Covington Classical Academy takes juniors on a trip to the classical world in June after classes end.

Whether we are traipsing through Gaul (France) with Caesar, visiting the Sybil’s cave in Cumae with Vergil, lying in soldiers' sleeping quarters in northern England, or standing on the Acropolis, students will have the opportunity to experience another culture. They will see for themselves the art in the Louvre or the British Museum. They will walk the length of the Roman Forum or the streets of Pompeii. These experiences, shared with their classmates, are an important part of studying the classical liberal arts. Eating gelato around the corner from the Pantheon or swimming in the Aegean Sea are just as important as visiting Classical sites!

Students test out the how much space eight soldiers had in the remains of a Roman barracks next to Hadrian's Wall.
